Internal Sales Account Manager

Our client, based in New Malden, is looking to hire an Inside Sales Account Manager to help grow and manage their sales revenue in various assigned territories. You will play a highly proactive role in growing revenue with new and established accounts, developing sales leads, and building sales relationships by regular and on-going interaction with these accounts through written contact, telephone and - when necessary - in-person meetings at appropriate intervals. As the Inside Sales Account Manager, you will also represent the company at various trade shows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic and consultative sales approach to leads, current users and new accounts
  • Calling on new and low volume clients and promotes products
  • Collaborating with internal customers to support clients need for technical information
  • Managing client activity in assigned territory and proactively communicates with clients regarding revenue and volume trends, campaigns, QA issues, lab issues, new products and/or services
  • Acquiring orders and collects marketing information
  • Managing sales activities, efforts and client information within Customer Relationship Tool
  • Generating and analysing weekly and monthly revenue reports
  • Supporting current client information through the internal Customer Account Tool (CAT) system
  • Submitting periodic summaries of special projects
  • Engaging in conversations to learn the most about clients to meet their needs
  • Exploring with the healthcare practitioner the appropriateness of tests based on specialty
  • Recording suggestions from physicians and their staff regarding company protocols
  • Attending departmental meetings and serves on committees as appropriate
  • Working closely with Territory Sales Managers and may also interact with all areas of the laboratory, specifically supervisors and group leaders in routine follow up

Person Specification

  • This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a health-related and/or marketing/sales field
  • 2-5 years experience with a sales focus, or related/relevant experience
  • Candidates must be comfortable working with physicians, their staff and taking on a proactive sales role with outstanding communication skills
  • Must show a high level of creativity, energy and enthusiasm
  • Must be multi-task oriented, courteous and organised
  • Familiar with computer programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel
