Media Sales Manager


Basic Salary DOE

£40,000 - £45,000 OTE uncapped

Our client is looking to hire a Media Sales Manager who is experienced in selling advertising. Our client has a fantastic relationship with their advertisers, and the overall team has a wealth of experience and all work together to create a positive and supportive working environment in the office.

As the Media Sales Manager, you will lead your title and build a solid foundation of advertisers in print, digital and events. Your role is a well-established one within the company and is key to gaining new business, as you will be building your own client base as well as renewing previous advertisers.

This is a target-driven sales role, and we are looking for someone with a positive attitude who can use their own creative ideas and sales skills to develop advertising platforms that clients can benefit from in order to win customers.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute lead generation and sales activity via the telephone. You will also be attending client meetings
  • To achieve or exceed revenue targets for existing customers
  • To generate new business to achieve or exceed revenue targets
  • Attend networking events
  • Manage advertisers within the publication
  • Work with the editor to develop great sales feature ideas
  • Reporting into the Group Sales Manager
  • Management of a small team of Media Sales Executives working on your title

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in a high-activity, target-driven sales environment, with targets being regularly exceeded
  • Experience leading and supporting a team of sales executives
  • Background in Media Sales, Advertising or Promotions
  • Have a good knowledge of businesses within South West London
  • Enjoy networking and meeting people
  • Good at naturally build great relationships
  • A creative approach to building campaigns
  • Good understanding of the marketing needs of local businesses
  • Would like to be a part of a successful team and enjoy seeing the effect of your hard work by growing and developing your print title
