IT Support Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide comprehensive 1st and 2nd line support, covering a wide range including the installation, configuration and support. The successful candidate will provide a range of resolutions in a timely manner and to a high level of customer service.
Provide 1st and 2nd Line technical support and maintenance for IT desktop environment including PCs, laptops, telephones and printers, voicemail, e-mail and audio-visuals.
Provide customer service for all queries and adhere to IT service management principles
Record, prioritise, track and monitor calls within the database to the point of closure, escalate to the appropriate parties
Take appropriate action to reduce repeat incidents including identification of repeated service issues, managing technical resolution, delivering training and familiarisation.
Maintain IT security across the network including anti-virus, SPAM filtering & Anti-Spyware technologies and security patching including VOIP
Provide Network Administration including password recovery, name changes and virus checks
Assist with other departmental duties where necessary
You may be required to travel in order to complete the duties involved
Keep up to date on modern IT issues and technologies
Exceptional customer service skills
Experience within a fast-paced office
Microsoft Desktop Operating (Windows 7, 8.1, 10) and application systems experience
TCP/ IP and internet technologies knowledge
IP based telephony systems
Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam software
Ideally degree level educated or equivalent
Dell, server knowledge
BMware ESXi, ESXm VSphere 6.0 experience/ knowledge
Understanding of Health & Safety Regulations affecting IT
Understands confidentiality and ensure this is maintained
Strong written and verbal communication skills
