New Business Development Executive

Location: Maidstone

Permanent Full Time

Salary: £33,000

This role is responsible for achieving or exceeding sales and GP targets by identifying, establishing and developing relationships with new clients in order to increase revenues generated by new corporate clients.


 Specific accountabilities and duties

  • Establishing markets to be targeted for sales activity
  • Establishing and maintaining a high level of relevant domain knowledge in order to have meaningful conversations with prospects working within target markets
  • Researching target companies, identifying corporate structures and ‘power maps’, pinpointing new prospects and potential new markets
  • Qualifying prospects against IRG criteria
  • Reaching out to and establishing relationships with prospects (including direct and indirect outreach including cold calling, networking, social media etc)
  • Developing sales opportunities by making initial presentations, understanding client needs and requirements for service
  • Participating in the formulation of new propositions by preparing specifications in collaboration with the Marketing and Operations departments.
  • Formulating proposals, explaining product and service enhancements and additions, introducing new products and services.
  • Closing sales by overcoming objections, preparing contracts
  • Contributing information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results, identifying needs to be filled, monitoring competitive products and understanding and relaying customer reactions
  • Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations
  • Participating in scheduled out of hours service provision, fielding and converting inbound emergency response calls using the blueprints provided
  • Maintaining accurate, current contact records and information on the CRM Preparing and presenting accurate activity reports and analysis
  • Conducting all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity


Required knowledge and experience

  • Proven, documented track record in meeting sales goals as an New Business Development Executive Proven ability to establish and develop partnerships and alliances with clients
  • Proven prospecting skills
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close deals
  • IT literate and well versed in the operation of CRM applications

Salary Package - £33k + Bonuses + Company Car + Phone
