Sales Manager

Location: Maidstone

Permanent Full Time

Salary: £55,000

This role is responsible for achieving or exceeding revenue and GP targets by recruiting and leading a team of A-fit sales people, ensuring that they are trained to a high standard and coordinating their activities in order to ensure maximum effectiveness, accountability and customer satisfaction.


Specific accountabilities and duties

  • Agreeing revenue targets for the company and setting key performance indicators
  • Devising and implementing the company’s sales strategy, monitoring effectiveness and making appropriate adjustments
  • Working closely with the marketing team to design and implement new business initiatives to drive sales
  • Recruiting and leading a team of A-fit sales executives and managers with a positive, proactive, 'can-do’ culture
  • Ensuring the organisation has and is executing an effective sales training programme
  • Meeting with the sales team on a weekly / monthly basis to assess individual performance against KPI’s Overseeing and managing underperforming sales staff
  • Ensuring that contracts negotiated with clients by the team meet commercial objectives Implementing and overseeing an effective sales pipeline and lead tracking system
  • Ensuring that the CRM is being used to standard
  • Implementing best practice in sales techniques throughout the team
  • Presenting individual and overall sales results to the board on a monthly basis Identifying analysing and reporting on business opportunities in target markets
  • Working closely with the business development team to secure larger, national accounts
  • Presenting the company and its services at exhibitions, presentations, networking and other appropriate events


Required knowledge and experience

  • Previous experience working as a senior sales lead
  • Leader with a track record revealing the ability to inspire performance within sales teams
  • Evidence of a strong commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial approach to business development.
  • Proven track record of the ability to recruit and develop high performance sales teams able to achieveor exceed sales targets
