Location: Wandsworth

Permanent Part Time

Salary: £26,000 pro rata, approx. £18,577 for part time

Permanent Part Time - Monday to Friday, 5 hours per day, 25 hours per week

Salary: £26,000 pro rata, approx. £18,577 for the part time hours

Our creative Client based in Wandsworth is looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have general accounts experience including Purchase Ledger, including a working knowledge of Excel as well as a basic understanding of debits vs credits and P&L vs Balance Sheet accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coding and logging approximately 150 invoices per week onto the computer system and sending to the appropriate person to be authorised for payment
  • Posting invoices on the system
  • Running a computerised weekly BACs run
  • Resolving supplier and manager queries
  • Preparation of spreadsheets detailing month end provisions
  • Opening daily post via rota and distributing as necessary
  • Accessing the purchase ledger email box on a daily basis and printing invoices sent online
  • Liaising with purchasing department re: receipt of stock invoices
  • General filing of goods received notes and paid invoices
  • Assisting with archiving procedures at the year end
  • Reconciling statements
  • Providing cover for other areas of the purchase ledger department during times of absence and holidays

Experience/ Requirements:

  • Organised, detail oriented, efficient, and able to prioritise work
  • Polite and courteous and have good oral and written communication skills
  • General accounts experience would be useful, including a working knowledge of Excel as well as a basic understanding of debits vs credits and P&L vs Balance Sheet accounts
  • Good time keeping and attendance are essential
