Commis Chef

Location: Wimbledon

Permanent Full Time

Salary: £17,747

Working 34 weeks of the year Monday to Friday 12pm to 7.30pm plus an additional 112.5 hours throughout the year to cover events, this may include some evenings and weekends.

Our client is seeking a commis chef to work in the catering department. Working in a very modern well-equipped environment assisting in delivering lunches on daily basis, in addition providing catering for regular functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the lunch service
  • Produce and bake daily bakery
  • Products, assist in sandwich production and other function
  • Assisting to clean the kitchen as required
  • Complete all necessary HACCP documentation

Key Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Food Production and Level 2 Food Hygiene is desirable
  • Used to working within a busy kitchen
  • Basic understanding of bread making preferred
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A good knowledge of allergies and intolerances
  • Good communication skills
