Financial Planner

Location: Epsom

Permanent Full Time

Salary: £40,000 + with potential OTE of £60,000

£40,000+ (depending upon the candidate), with potential OTE of £60,000

A truly outstanding opportunity for a Financial Planner to join an incredible firm. In this role you will it be charge of providing first-class financial planning advisory service to clients.

Key Responsibilities as a Financial Planner:

  • Decide a business development plan with Manager to guarantee that the firm’s qualitative and quantitative business processes are accomplished.
  • Determine contacts with prospective clients and build suitable business relationships, assess existing clients’ annually.
  • Ensuring that you have attained the required information to facilitate a full analysis of the clients’ needs to be conducted.
  • Find appropriate solutions, produce reports and proposals to a high standard and implement solutions agreed with clients.
  • Operate at all times within the compliance and advice provided framework and the FCA’s rules.
  • Required to operate satisfactorily within the compliance and KPI framework of the firm.
  • Ensure competence is attained within the recommended timescale by undertaking the training programme and additional developmental activities as required by the firm. This will include a thorough knowledge of relevant investment, pension and protection products, procedures and compliance rules, including GDPR/data protection and Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
  • Guarantee maintenance of competence by constantly reviewing own training needs and, in combination with Supervisor, delivering those needs in an appropriate and timely manner.

Key Requirements for a Financial Planner:

  • Required to hold QCA Level 4 financial planning qualifications and hold an authorised SPS certificate to meet FCA qualification standards.
  • Two years’ industry experience as a Financial Adviser.
  • Specialist qualifications for pension transfer, mortgage advice and/or Long-Term Care would be an benefit.
  • Required to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Good keyboard skills and PC literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Office.
