Commercial Development Manager
Location: Wimbledon
Permanent Full Time
Salary: £40,000 -52,000
Hybrid working - currently 3 days office and 2 days home
As Commercial Development Manager will work directly with the commercial team to guarantee appropriate responses to quotation requests and tenders. You will also support with the easy on-boarding of new clients.
Key Responsibilities as a Commercial Development Manager:
- Guarantee all enquiries are proactively responded to and ensure quotes and tenders are submitted in a precise and timely manner
- Manage all key strategic quotes / tenders including those for strategic international clients, new territories, new product lines
- Frequently follow up on all leads and certify CRM database is kept updated to ensure regular and accurate sales pipeline reporting
- Develop the Sales database by increasing contacts and relationships via social media, marketing, email and telephone contact
- Construct, sustain and examine rates across the group to ensure consistent rates are submitted to clients that take into account all local and international costings
- Communicate with operations team to certify Business Development Managers are kept up to date with latest costs and rates in their region for quotation purposes
- Help with client negotiations, winning tenders and quotations to develop accurate contracts depicting all elements of project design
- Assistance operations team with contract and rate renewals
- Supporting new marketing partners and settle disputes arising with existing partners
- Keep abreast of market trends, research new markets, territories
Key Requirements:
- Experience in commercial side of offshore logistics, materials management, base operations support or similar
- A degree in logistics or industry related training in commercial contracting and tendering
- Practice of DNV Cargo Carrying Units (CCUs) & ISO containers
- High-level of PC literacy, specifically Microsoft Office
- Understanding of other IT systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent planning, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of role
- Self-motivated, flexible and enthusiastic approach to work
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to multi-task
- Good work ethic
