Events Assistant

Salary: £26,000 per annum
Full-time 2-year fixed term contract
Hybrid working
As Events Assistant providing focused administrative, database supervision and accounting support to the office. In this role you will also assist with fundraising.
Key Responsibilities as an Events Assistant
- Coordinate the overall office administration
- Responding to all telephone requests and be the first point of contact for enquiries
- Searching for and observing policy and process documents
- Sorting out mail and maintaining stationary supplies
- Supporting event planning meetings
- Manage regional events, assist with engagement activities and manage gift items
- Primary contact
- Handle support information, inputting and amending data for the company database
- Making sure all entries and precisely coded and updated as and when required
- Ensuring accurate event records in a timely manner communicating the National Office
- Input and update all communications relating to constituent held on the database
- Making sure everything is correctly batched, processed and thank you letter sent
- Ensure all that the team is GDPR UK compliant
- Monitor income and expenditure with finance department
- Pay cash and cheques in to the relevant bank accounts
- Approve invoices and maintain Petty cash account
Key Requirements:
- Able to be flexible
- Must have a driving licence
- IT Literate, numerate and literate to a high standard
- Good team worker and ability to work alone
- Strong interpersonal skills
