Great opportunity for someone with supply chain knowledge to join a small team in a fast-paced business. You will be booking transport, checking returns, supporting the sales team with quotes and invoicing customers. Our client is looking for someone who is computer savvy, driven and good at solving problems.
Key Responsibilities as a Commercial Office Assistant:
- Be the contact person for customer queries and support the sales team with customer quotes, order confirmations and any other project-related requirements.
- Assist with the management of projects, which includes all aspects of customer requirements from initial quoting, ordering, deliveries, handling returnsand project closing.
- Ensure accurate invoicing in Discos II and resolve disputes/credit requests arising during the project life span together with sales, customers, Head of CMO and Credit Control
- Maintain data quality of delivery dates and return dates in co-ordination with sales and customer.
- Place material reservations and ensure timely update and communication to Logistics team.
- Checking on-hand and reconditioning stocks and co-ordination with Logistics to source intercompany for on-time delivery to customers.
- Ensure client satisfaction by coordinating deliveries and returns in collaboration with the yard.
- Arranging transportation and co-ordination with haulage companies, checking transport invoices and transport recovery.
- Administrative duties to support the successful functioning of branch including answering the phones and welcoming visitors etc.
- Maintaining accurate and up to date filing system.
- Ensure health and safety legislation/policies are adhered to at all times
Key Requirements:
- 3-5 years experience in Commercial & Supply Chain management.
- Experience in project management preferably in Construction/Manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience of Discos II (The clients customized ERP system) is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software i.e. Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and effective problem solving skills.
- Team player.
- Proactive in communications.
- Solution focused.
