Financial Accountant

Permanent – SW London (with flexible and hybrid working)

35 hour week – Monday to Friday

£40k - £45k + benefits

To support the Financial Controller and Senior Financial Accountant and to work collaboratively with other finance team members. Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations, VAT reporting, financial due diligence assessments and other financial compliance activity, and assist in the preparation of statutory accounts.

• Carry out monthly and ad hoc reconciliations for bank and key balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns for submission to HMRC.
• Prepare other compliance returns including to the ONS and HMRC.
• Perform due diligence assessments on key customers and suppliers.
• Monitor cash balances and carry out banking and investment portfolio accounting and administration.
• Assist in the coordination of the external audit and production of the annual statutory accounts.
• Some international duties and responsibilities for divisions in MENA and Ireland.

KPI’s

• Timely and accurate completion of reports and reconciliations.
• Effective communication with auditors and Finance team members.
• Compliance with deadlines for external auditors and for internal customers.

Knowledge, qualifications and experience

• Qualified or possibly part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT) 
• Experience of performing reconciliations
• Knowledge of financial statements
• Good communications skills 
• A solutions-focused mentality
