Location: West Malling

Permanent Full Time

Salary: £27000

Final QC Technician – West Malling



This is a job role that focuses on the customer and them receiving a product of a high quality with no defects. The role will include working to the highest standards and strict working methods and operating procedures in order to identify any related issues and recording all data. Ensuring the provision of outstanding customer service is paramount to success whilst working with the client. This is a great opportunity with a high end profiled company based in West Malling!

Role Responsibilities:

·           Conducts specification assessment, including checking that work completed is correct and in accordance with customer request

·           Visually inspects completed and serviced products

·           Perform waterproofing tests using specialist equipment

·           Maintains and records all final timing sheets

·           Carries out repairs and adjustments

·           Contributes to efficient workflow via maintenance of daily production targets and quality goals set within personal performance objectives

·           Focuses on achieving high standards of excellence via a ‘right first time’ approach in all areas of work

·           Maintains high standards of workstation organisation and tidiness

·           Follows and adheres to all standard operating procedures

·           Works to required procedures to ensure health and safety guidelines are adhered to when operating machinery

·           Liaises with Final Quality Control Supervisor and other service departments regarding relevant job-specific items.

·           Demonstrates willingness to improve through constructive communication and training

·           Builds and maintains positive relationships and communication with colleagues


Role Requirements:

·         Able to work within a technical or specialist area of expertise in order to continuously improve the quality of the service and/or the product

·         Develops and complies with the systems, procedures, rules, objectives and timescales set by the organisation and takes a disciplined approach when undertaking tasks

·         Searches out errors, rectifies omissions, perfects systems and procedures which will ultimately raise the quality and standards of all tasks undertaken

·         Provides the best possible solutions to problem solving or decision making by conscientiously testing things, examining facts, trying different alternatives and thinking things through

·         Develops competency in self in order to gains satisfactory standards of performance and delivers results within agreed timescales

·         Is consistent in the manner in which a task is tackled, creating sound practical procedures which incorporate checks for accuracy and ensures that tasks are completed satisfactorily

·         Seeks direction and authority from others when and if appropriate and achieves set goals in a non-assertive and efficient manner


Personal Specification:

·         Educated to a minimum of Secondary school level

·         Excellent attention to detail and a high level of concentration and focus

·         A good level of dexterity and hand-to-eye coordination

·         Good written and oral communication skills

·         Grade C or above at GCSE Level in Art or Craft Design & Technology

·         Previous experience working as part of a small team

·         Attention to Detail

·         Meticulous
