Carlton Recruitment is pleased to announce that our prestigious client in Epsom is seeking a Copywriter to join their expanding team. Your role will include producing articles, case studies and news for their website, usually based on current events circulating the media. This is a great opportunity for someone who is a keen Writer with experience within a business.


Key Responsibilities

·         Copywriting  for the company’s quarterly internal magazine

·         Writing blogs for the Executive Director and other narrative for website

·         Writing copy for conference websites and marketing campaigns designed to attract greater attendance

·         Copywriting for social media

·         Copywriting for branding guidelines in accordance with the graphic designer

·         Brainstorming visual and copy ideas with other team members

·         Interviewing key individuals to get quotes for articles on the website and HUB

·         Writing scripts for videos and talking heads

·         Copywriting press releases for the general public

·         Copywriting promotional literature designed to attract new members to the company

·         Copywriting literature designed to assist Members with winning new business

·         Familiarisation with competitors activities

·         Liaising with external agencies such as printers, marketing contacts, designers etc.

·         Proofreading to check spelling and grammar

·         Assisting team members with any of their internal and external communications


Personal Specification

·         Degree level educated or equivalent in English Language, Journalism/ Marketing

·         Experience within a Copywriter role

·         Success in writing for business social media presence

·         Writing blog/thought leadership/website and social media content according to brand guidelines

·         Understanding of SEO concepts

·         Ideally experience within the Financial Services/ Professional Services industry but not essential

·         Strong researching & interview skills

·         Administrative and proofreading experience

·         Communication and interpersonal, skills with the ability to liaise with people from different departments

·         A flexible “hands on, can do” attitude, with an ability to ensure a consistent high quality of all tasks undertaken

·         IT literate

·         Strong organizational skills

·         Good attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines

·         Interest in media outlets and publications
